Did you know Penfolds Bin 707 was named after the Boeing 707 aircraft, because that is what was once served in First Class?
This week we officially launched ‘Transcend by Penfolds’, a highly immersive and multi-sensory wine tasting experience, showcasing newly released wines from The Penfolds Collection 2023 and even a taste of Penfolds flagship Grange (2019).
A star-studded guest list gathered in both Melbourne and Sydney to experience the 90-minute tasting, which combined a unique soundscape, storytelling, visuals and lighting to bring to life the Collection in a new and innovative way. Unlike traditional wine events, ‘Transcend by Penfolds’ offered guests a guided tasting, narrated by Penfolds Group Winemaker, Steph Dutton, against a backdrop of imagery to evoke a visual interpretation of each wine.
The experience had its crescendo with a newly created ‘Grange Palate Cleanser’ specifically designed to refresh and reinvigorate the palate ahead of tasting the brand’s flagship, Grange.
